A little bit about me...
Hello all! I am Mrs. Sabrina Smith. I am excited to meet all of you and learn new things about you, but first let me tell you a little about me. I have been a teacher for over 18 years. I began my teaching career in kindergarten and a few years later, I moved to first grade, and later to third grade. I have taught second grade for the last two years. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1999). I later received my Master of Library Science degree from North Carolina Central University (2010).
I have been married to my husband Rodney for 22 years, who is also an educator at TMSA. We have 4 amazing children: RJ, Christian, Aaliyah, and Justin. We also have one curiously, human-like teacup chihuahua named Tito, as well as an adorable long-haired guinea pig named Rosie.
I am very excited to be your teacher this year. I value teamwork, positive attitudes, and growing strong together as a community of learners. We will do tons of fun and meaningful activities that will strengthen skills and promote independence. I look forward to a Super Second Grade 2018-19!
Sincerely,
Mrs. S. Smith
