Field Trip to NC Museum of Science: Thursday, May 25th. $8.00 (by check only)due by May 22, along with permission form and Parental Consent form.
Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to chaperone. We will leave school at 8:15am to travel to the NC Museum of Natural Science. It should take us approximately 20-25 minutes to arrive, placing us there at around 8:45am. If you are meeting us there, you should be able to wait for us/meet us in or near the lobby or main entrance. ELA Text Based Comprehension: Sequencing Events Phonics: Prefixes mid and mis Writing: Mini Lesson- Peruasive Letter Weekly Test/ Spelling Test: Friday Math The students will be reviewing several concepts for the next couple of weeks. This week will focus on story problems with multiple steps. Science/PLTW Unit: Butterflies Students will understand the functions and identify the parts of a caterpillar. They will observe their caterpillar and record their observations in a journal. This week our caterpillars have begun molting and forming their chrysalis. Be sure to ask your child about what they have been observing! Social Studies - Review

They will be able to describe the shapes using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc. Science/PLTW Unit: Butterflies Students will understand the functions and identify the parts of a caterpillar.
